Substitute Teacher, ICSD
Board of Trustees since 2010
I have lived 33 years in the Village of Lansing and ran a business here for 22 years.
Currently I am the only women on the Board. For the past 8 years I have worked hard as a
Trustee and I am now running for re-election and seeking your vote to continue my service
to our community.
I served many years on the Tompkins County Youth Services Board. I am currently the
Village Representative on the Tompkins County Council of Governments (TCCOG), the
alternate TCCOG Representative for the Tompkins County Emergency Response Oversight
Committee, and I serve on the Village Deer Management Committee. I am responsible for checking and balancing the
financial records of the Village.

Village of Lansing
Community Party VOTE TUESDAY, APRIL 23
A Legacy of Commitment to All Village Residents

I annually attend education sponsored by the New York State Conference of Mayors and Municipal Officials and the Office of
the State Controller– sessions on internal controls, capital planning, government accounting, and enacted and pending
legislation. These courses provide guidance in understanding the powers and responsibilities of local officials as well as good
practices with respect to record keeping and communications. I work diligently to understand the development issues and
challenges that face both the Trustees and the Planning Board. I am especially interested in the interaction between the
Village and Town of Lansing, as well the Board relationship with Village residents.
I am politically a moderate and can represent fairly the views of all my constituents. I support our green space but also
support a balanced use of Village land: natural area enjoyment, housing, business, and technology parks. I am committed
to the Village infrastructure, including high quality roads, reliable water system, parks and playgrounds. The smooth running
of government owes much to the quality of our Village personnel and an open, productive relationship among all members
of the Village government.
It has been a pleasure to serve the Village. I am excited about working with my colleagues and Village residents on issues
and challenges we face in keeping our community safe, environmentally friendly, and financially stable.
I look forward to continued service and would very much appreciate your vote for Trustee of the Village of Lansing.
