Board of Trustees (Appointed) since 2019
I have lived in Tompkins County for 47 years, and in the Village of Lansing for 3 ½ years. I was asked to take over as a replacement for a vacated Trustee spot and was appointed and gladly began to serve in May of 2019.
My business experience has shaped my ability to be fiscally responsible, have a “make-things-happen” attitude, effectively work with others, and be accountable. My business experience includes the past 19 years at Incodema and 20 years at Bob Dean, Inc., previously located on Triphammer Road.
Current committee assignments as Trustee include the Climate Smart Communities Task Force and the Lighting Commission.
Our Village is fiscally sound, and I would like to use my business expertise to help further our growth and infrastructure needs. I’m not into politics as it divides. I am not into top-down directives because we always first need to understand and consider how our actions and decisions affect the unique wants and needs of our community. Our Village offers many amenities that make us truly unique to our residents, visitors, and the folks that commute to work within the Village.
My vision includes an initiative that improves and connects the key features of our Village: Malls, YMCA, Restaurants, Residents, Parks, and Professional Offices through new technologies and collaborative efforts of our community.
I look forward to participating in a process that includes the planning and implementation of initiatives that fill the needs and provide direction for the Village now and in the future.
